Valley-Edinburg Annual School Board June Election
Notice is hereby given that on the 10th of June, 2025, the annual election for the Valley-Edinburg School District #118 will be held for the purpose of electing two directors for three-year terms for two open at-large School Board positions and to determine whether to publish school board meeting minutes in the newspaper.
Polls will open at eleven o’clock a.m. and close at seven o’clock p.m. The polling locations for this election will be the three Valley-Edinburg School Locations:
Hoople – 2040 Myrtle Avenue, Hoople, ND 58243
Crystal – 4013 Euclid Avenue, Crystal, ND 58222
Edinburg - 600 6th Street S., Edinburg, ND 58227.
The positions up for election are those currently held by Thomas Fagerholt and Natalie Cameron.
Tyler Needham, Christopher Evenson, Andrew Moquist, & Natalie Cameron have filed for these open positions.
Applications for absentee ballots can be mailed or emailed out to you upon request by contacting the Business Manager, April Sommer, at 701-657-2163 (Crystal School) or via email at April.Sommer@valley-edinburgk12.com. Once the application has been filled out and returned to the Business Manager, an absentee ballot will be mailed to you. Please submit your applications in a timely manner to allow time for the ballot to be mailed to you and returned. Absentee ballots must be completed and returned by 4pm the day prior to the election or post marked by the day prior to the election (June 9th, 2025).
SPECIAL ELECTION - Unofficial Results
The Valley-Edinburg Public School District No. 118 of Pembina County, held a special election on April 29th, 2025.
The voters rejected the debt limit increase and $15.2 million bond referendum for our schools. Unofficial vote tallies were 180 votes in favor and 455 votes against for the debt limit increase, and 174 votes in favor and 463 votes against for the bond referendum.
