Valley-Edinburg ESP (Extended School Program) & Adult Education

WELCOME to the Valley-Edinburg Extended School Project!  This family handbook is designed as an overview of the Project and is part of the enrollment agreement between the Valley-Edinburg Extended School Project (ESP) and the families we serve.

The children of working families in Grafton, Midway, Minto, Northwood, Park River Area and Valley-Edinburg, North Dakota are kept safe, engaged in learning, and on the path to success in life at time when they would otherwise be unsupervised.  Local schools keep them from risk by opening their doors earlier and keeping them open later.  The North Valley Extended School Project provides daily activities that improve academic skills, student behavior, health, and esteem.  Adults are provided opportunities to learn.  Many organizations take leadership roles in the development and implementation of all activities.

ADULT LEARNING CENTER

Our ESP encourages all parents to be lifelong learners. The following is information for the nearest GED options.

In North Dakota, you need to take and pass the entirely revamped GED exam to earn your HSE (High School Equivalency) diploma. The GED examination now includes four separate tests that are set up at the level of education that high school seniors get in four years of high school. The four tests that the new GED exam comes with are on the academic fields of: Literacy, Math, Social Studies, and Science.
